Harborside: The Best Reason Yet
We're making steady progress in the organizing drive at Harborside— and the number of your colleagues joining the sign-up effort is growing— both among the Harborside folks talking one-on-one to desk-mates and reporters at Newswires elsewhere and reporters at the Journal making calls of their own.
Over the past couple of months we've tried to answer a lot of questions and hit the reasons why you need a written contract— but one of the latest to sign-up had what perhaps might be the best reason so far, "I want someone between me and Rich Zannino."
As a neighbor, Rich is probably a great guy— a fine fellow at a bar-b-que or ball game— but judging by the contract proposals his team delivered last week, you might be better off if you had someone between you and him when it comes to money, benefits, job security and working conditions.
IAPE's job is to get you more money, better benefits, stronger job protection and improved working conditions. But we also want to keep this a great company made up of top quality people who are committed to putting out top quality news and information products. But we need your help. We need a signed union card.
To win this fight we both need Harborside in the union.
To win a better contract— more money, better benefits, stronger job protections and better working conditions— download Your Union Card, fill it in, sign it, fax a copy to 609-716-0626 and mail the original to IAPE, 14 Washington Road, Suite 521, Princeton Junction, New Jersey 08550
