Bargaining Update 02.25.10
We were back at the bargaining table with Dow Jones Thursday, February 25th — and the "headline" to take away is an agreement to an accelerated schedule of talks.
We've agreed to meet twice next week (Monday and Thursday) with both sides ready to seriously tackle the big items of health care, retirement, severance/seniority and money.
We still have a number of serious differences with the company, but the give-and-take at the table has been encouraging — tough, but encouraging.
We need to hear from you — and so does management — as we tackle the core of the contract.
Post a "Keep It in the Contract" poster at your desk — management, at all levels, needs to hear from you. By the way, if you haven't received a poster from a board member or steward yet, let us know. We'll get one to you asap.
