Bad Weather

In a nutshell, the 'bad weather' policy at Dow Jones provides that if there's a state of emergency declared (and the roads or transit system you use to get to work have been closed by government order) you're not expected to come to work AND you get paid for the day. If you call out because you believe it's too dangerous to commute (but roads or transit haven't been officially closed), you can be docked for the day's pay or forced to use a vacation day or personal day at the manager's discretion.

REGARDLESS OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES, CALL AND NOTIFY YOUR BOSS OF YOUR SITUATION.
