Memorial Service For Will Lugg
Anthony William (Will) Lugg: 1953 - 2013
Anthony William (Will) Lugg, aged 60 of East Windsor, New Jersey, died as the result of an automobile accident on Wednesday, November 27, 2013. He was born in Wellsboro, Pa on February 11, 1953 the son of the late Robert S. Lugg of Knoxville, PA and Anne P. Lugg, currently of Hillsborough, New Jersey.
After graduating from Cowanesque Valley High School in 1971, Mr. Lugg attended the University of Pittsburgh both at the Bradford, PA and Johnstown, PA campuses. In 1976 Mr. Lugg joined the United States Navy where he served in Adak, Alaska, and later at Fleet Intelligence in Pearl Harbor, HA.
After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Mr. Lugg worked as an Information Architect for Dow Jones for 31 years where he was instrumental in the development of the Wall Street Journal Europe version and the world's first direct to plate publishing system. For these and other accomplishments Will was awarded the Barney Kilgore award in 1987. He was an avid out-doors man, hunter, and hiker. In his youth, he became an Eagle Scout. He belonged to the National Rifle Association and to the Sons of the American Revolution, plus the IEEE.
He is survived by his mother, brother David K. Lugg of Millington, New Jersey and wife Marion Ceruzzi, Ph.D. and their children Benjamin and Hayley; sister Catherine A. Lugg Ph.D. and her spouse Mary D. Aun of Belle Mead, New Jersey, and brother, Robert Andrew Lugg, Ph.D. of Brookville, PA, and his sons Hugh A., Robert T. and Edward A. Lugg.
In light of Mr. Lugg's many friends and colleagues in New Jersey, a celebration of his life is planned for the afternoon of January 31, 2014. Memorials may be made to the Knoxville-Deerfield Fire Company, and to the Knoxville Public Library.
