Our Holiday Message . . .

Best Wishes For A Safe & Happy Holiday Season!

From the officers, directors and staff of the Independent Association of Publishers' Employees (IAPE), Local 1096 of The NewsGuild-CWA, please accept these best wishes for a safe and happy holiday season.

The IAPE office will operate at reduced hours over the holidays, and will be closed entirely on December 24th, 25th and 31st. We will also be closed on January 1st.

We will be back at full capacity and ready to ring in the New Year on Monday, January 4th. As in, 2016. Wow. Where does the time go?

Under the terms of the main contract between IAPE and Dow Jones & Company, December 25th (Christmas Day) and January 1st (New Year's Day) are recognized as holidays. If you are required to work on either holiday, you are entitled to Holiday Pay — time-and-one-half for all regularly scheduled hours worked, double time for hours worked in excess of that time, and a day in lieu of the holiday to be used at a later date (or an additional day's pay, at the discretion of the Company).
